The Department of Medicine at Jaslok Hospital comprises highly efficacious physicians. Each physician working with us is an expert in his/her field, handpicked on the basis of vast experience, professional abilities and research in the subject. Also, their attitude towards our patients is caring and empathetic. They examine our patients with great attention, focusing on accurate diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Emergency Medical Care

Apart from the routine examination and diagnosis of diseases, followed by further investigation and treatment, all types of fevers and infections are also managed by our department. Specialised tests, use of rapid bacterial culture and sensitivity techniques, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and other investigation modalities provide the best quality support for routine medical care.

He is a Specialist in Cardio-Metabolic disorders and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (F.A.C.P.) and Clinical Endocrinology (F.A.C.E.). Besides being a Post-Graduate teacher in Medicine at the National level for over 15 years, in 2001 he founded the Physician’s Journal Club in Mumbai - of which he still continues to be the Chairman. Over the past more than a decade, this academic body(MCI accredited), under his stewardship, has organised continuous medical education for Consultants to keep them abreast of the advances in science. Dr. Hemant Thacker has been awarded many awards and felicitated in the past >35 years.
