A PATIENT'S RESPONSIBILITIES

o To be on time for appointments and inform the hospital if you cannot keep your appointment.

o To be honest with your healthcare providers. Inform your previous hospitalization details and any other matter relating to your health. This would help your physician treat you better. We request you to participate in decision making process and ask questions in case of doubts.

o Hospital staffs have demanding jobs to do, often under stressful circumstances. Help them by treating them considerately. Violence or racial, sexual or verbal abuse is completely unacceptable.

o To please follow all advice given to you by your care givers. If you are worried or have any doubt about doing this, discuss it with the person giving you the advice at time.

o To please take all the medicine prescribed to you by your doctor and complete the course of treatment.

o Improving services are only successful, if the people providing them know what you think about the services. Help staff by filling the feedback forms if they approach you.

o To use emergency services in a real emergency only. Do not forget that there will be seriously ill people who need to use these services.

o To respect the right of other patients and staff of the hospital. Please ensure that your visitors are considerate to other patients in respect to noise and strictly observe the "Visiting Hours" policy of the hospital.

o To please observe "No Smoking" and other rules of the hospital.

o You have the responsibility to be prompt with the payment of your hospital bills and wherever necessary, provide information essential for processing your bills.
